Giving Tuesday

December 2, 2025
The holidays should feel magical — full of warmth, traditions, and joy.
But for women, teens, and children leaving violence, the season can be heavy.
Some will spend December at Interval House. Others will be rebuilding their lives in the community with nothing but what they could pack quickly.

This Giving Tuesday, we aren’t asking for big gestures.
We’re asking for small acts of care.

💜 The next time you stop for a coffee or run an errand, pick up a $5–$10 gift card.

It might seem small to us — but for a woman starting over, it means autonomy.
It allows a mom to choose her own gifts for her children.
It allows a teen to pick something that feels like them.
It says: you deserve choice, dignity, and joy.

How You Can Help This Holiday Season

Donate a Gift Card:
Coffee shops, local stores, gas stations, grocery stores — any denomination.
Gift cards empower women by putting choice directly into their hands.

Giving a Gift (unwrapped):
We especially ask you to keep teens in mind this year.
Suggested items:
• Cozy socks & self-care items
• Arts & crafts sets
• Journals or books
• Headphones
• Board games & puzzles
• Sweet treats
• Home décor or small household items
• Outdoor toys for kids

Make a Financial Donation:
Donate through CanadaHelps.ca, LCIH.org, or e-transfer to finance@lcih.com

Host a Third-Party Fundraiser:
A pajama drive, gift card tree, workplace challenge — big or small, it all helps.
Email cathie.mcormond@lcih.com for details.
