In-Kind Donations to Lanark County Interval House
Thank you for wanting to provide needed items for the women and children we help. We are so grateful to our generous community. In order to relieve the costs of our programs and services, LCIH accepts In Kind item donations to directly benefit our clients.
LCIH accepts a wide range of items. We have listed some general ideas below, but please call 613-257-3469 to first find out what our current needs are. Types of donations we look for include (but are not limited to):
– new clothing for women and/or children (girls and boys)
– new/unscented/unopened/full-sized hygiene products such as shampoo, conditioner and body wash
– other hygiene items such as deodorant, hair brushes/combs, and face cloths
– food (please note that we cannot accept opened and/or expired food)
– new toys/books for children and youth of all ages
Have some fun with it!
We encourage you to challenge your friends or community group, churches, youth organization, birthday party etc. The individual or team that brings in the most items wins.
Just call 613-257-3469 ext. 27 if you’d like some support setting up this type of event.
Some Important Notes:
For health and safety reasons, as outlined by Health Canada, we can only accept new item donations at the shelter. Many supporters ask us about used baby and children’s items; we cannot accept baby and children’s items such as cribs, strollers, bassinets, and other related items.
If you have gently-used donations, please take them to LCIH’s thrift store – the As Good As New Store at 33 Bridge Street in Carleton Place. You can call them at 613-257-7074. Our women and children access these items as they have needs arise. 100% of all proceeds made at the store come directly back to LCIH to go towards our operating costs.
Large Items: If you have small counter top appliances (microwave, toaster etc.) furniture (beds, tables, couches etc.), or electronics (television, stereos etc.) please bring them to Rebound Re-use It Centre at 14 Industrial Avenue Unit 4/5, Almonte, Ontario; 613-256-1700.
To deliver your new donation(s), please call 613-257-3469 to make arrangements.
