The Sexual Assault Support Program offers individual counselling and support groups to women survivors of childhood sexual abuse, sexual assault, abuse of a sexual nature and sexual harassment. We offer both short-term and long-term support that is non-judgmental, queer friendly, anti-racist and anti-oppression from a harm reductionist approach.
Our services are free and confidential.
We take a survivor directed approach to our support that may include:
- Impacts and after effects of sexual violence
- Coping strategies
- Options and empowerment
- Boundaries and self-care
- Trust and healthy intimate relationships
- Shame, blame and moving forward
Support Groups run in the fall, winter, and spring.
The Sexual Assault Support Program is offered throughout Lanark County, with office space in Carleton Place, Perth and Smiths Falls. If transportation is an issue for you, we will do what we can to help. We will also provide accompaniment to court, the police station and hospital as needed.
