As women, we navigate the world in a carefully calculated and intentional maze. Not created by us but rather 4 us.

We are from all 4 directions and while we share some experiences in the maze; many are further marginalized.

We are busy navigating and sometimes we fail to see each other as we pass each other on the journey. That’s often set up with intention too.

We unite on some matters, and we are worlds apart on others.

We belong until we don’t. Or do we?

We perceive things about each other and fail to ask questions.

We are all good women with a shared common goal of equity and equality. But are we?

Sistering is a critical concept, and it requires work every day. It means finding meaningful relationships, reflecting, honouring and sharing space, making space and openly living in and unpacking your stuff.

It means working every day to create and undo the purposely created maze to a path toward. Toward change and toward each other. To lift each other and to lend a hand up.

It means leaning into your edges and being prepared for discomfort and sometimes pain. It means assessing yourself “in” and taking full responsibility for self.

It means hard work to understand self and the lived realities of others. It means looking for the intersections.

It means acknowledging our judgements, our errors and celebrating our wins. It means embracing humility, courage, fear, acceptance, and exhaustion. It means living an authentic maze conquering existence. Resting when needed, leading, and following with intention.

Women 4 women is far more complex then 2+2.

Let’s sister each other 4ward….
