We are excited to bring C.R.A.V.E to our community. Lanark County has been an incredible community to be a part of and we want to bring some joy to our community members. Like many of you, we were so disappointed to have to cancel our annual fundraising events like Violet Femmes and Feed the Fight. We know this isn’t the same as getting together and having fun, but we hope it will be an enjoyable experience nonetheless!
C.R.A.V.E stands for “Community Rules Against Violence Everywhere” and we hope it will be a reminder that violence is an unfortunate reality here in Lanark County. Over the course of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have seen a 75% increase in crisis calls and our shelter has been consistently full. While most of us were able to stay home to keep safe and healthy during lockdowns, many women and children were forced to stay home with their abuser. At a time when demand for our services is high, we have had to cancel our annual in-person fundraisers. All proceeds from C.R.A.V.E will go towards our community support programs to assist women and children living with and escaping from domestic violence.

If you haven’t purchased your tickets yet, now is a great time. March is Women’s History Month commemorated, of course, with International Women’s Day on March 8.
