Event Details

In 1979, a group of brave and determined feminists came together to start Lanark County Interval House without promise of pay or even recognition. All that mattered to them was providing a safe place for women fleeing domestic violence.

Since then, hundreds of women and men have invested thousands of hours to support our agency, expand our services, and help the women and children in need in Lanark County.

From board members to shelter support to drivers to fundraisers to those who work at The As Good As New Thrift Shop, our agency wouldn’t be what it is without the dedication of volunteers. Simply put, volunteers have been the backbone of LCIH and Community Support every step of the way!

Please join us on April 11th for a casual reception to acknowledge the hard work of all volunteers, past and present. There will be cake, snacks, punch and many old stories shared.
