Smiths Falls Pebble Mosaic Unveiling
May 18, 2023 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
ReDefine Arts is proud to have collaborated for the third time with Lanark County Interval House & Community Support, local organizations and 100 Smiths Falls residents to create a unique, six-foot diameter, pebble mosaic monument that will soon be permanently installed at Town Hall Square, Smiths Falls.
Designed and built in Summer 2022 via a community-engaged process, the mosaic was initially set to be unveiled in September 2022. Despite great efforts by the Town of Smiths Falls, unanticipated sector strikes, labour shortages, and supply chain issues led to delays in the redevelopment of Smiths Falls Town Square. As such, the installation and unveiling was postponed to May 2023 – Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
Please join us on May 18th, 2023, from 6-8pm at Town Hall Square (77 Beckwith St. N, Smiths Falls ON) for an evening of community celebration & commemoration, and the official unveiling of the Smiths Falls Countdown Pebble Mosaic!
This free outdoor event will feature speakers, performers, and light refreshments. All community members, project participants, and their friends and family members are invited!
