Our Child & Youth Program is designed for young people ages 4-18 years who have been exposed to domestic violence. The program offers individual counselling as well as child & youth groups which run for a period of 10 weeks.
We provide a safe environment where they can:
- Express thoughts, concerns & feelings
- Learn conflict resolution skills & how to express anger
- Discuss safety planning & family changes
- Learn about boundaries & healthy relationships
- Discover new coping skills & self esteem building
Children throughout Lanark County can access our services and we will do what we can to mitigate transportation challenges.
Individual and/or group counselling can help your child take the steps required to overcome the traumatic experience they’ve lived through. Children & youth are impacted by violence in many different ways and it’s important that they know their feelings are valid. This program creates a safe place where they can speak their truth and be supported through their own journey.
