SUMMARY:Fireside Chats with Elder Roberta Della-Pica
DESCRIPTION:Please join Countdown Elder\, Story Keeper and Community Artist Roberta Della-Picca for a Fireside Chat. \n\n\nFireside Chats are individual\, unscripted conversations between Roberta and Countdown participants. They include discussion about participants’ experience with the project and reflections on personal and community impact\, as well the opportunity to add their unique voices to the legacy of the project by sharing readings of poems and writings they may have created in Countdown workshops. \n*WHEN: May 16 & 17\, 2023\, 1pm – 4pm \n*WHERE: Town Hall Square (77 Beckwith St. N\, Smiths Falls ON). If the weather is cool\, Fireside Chats will take place indoors\, at the Smiths Falls Public Library. \n*REGISTER: To register for a Fireside Chat or get more information\, please email emma.kinsman@lcih.com \nWith participant consent\, Roberta will audio record the chats to become part of The Countdown Story: an online project home to audio clips & videos\, with a focus on the conversations\, writing\, art\, and relationships generated over the past many years of Countdown. www.countdownstory.com \n— \nSupport Note: While emotional and sensitive subject matter may arise during discussions about personal impacts of the project\, please note that these chats are not a replacement for professional counselling sessions.
