DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to partner once again with the What Now Lanark County group to present the Imagine: Learn\, Inspire\, Act Conference!\n\n\nSaturday May 6 at the Almonte Civitan Club.\n\n\n\nActivists and experts will share what they have learned on issues of health\, abuse and violence\, legal rights\, and climate action in the community.\n\n\n\nSessions Include:\n– Learning from the Renfrew County Inquest with Pamela Cross and Kirsten Mercer\n– Community Collaboration in Anti-Trafficking Efforts with Wendy Gee and Marita Smith\n– The New Masculinity with Alex Manley\n– Could Their Relationship be Affecting their Health? with Tara Leach\n– Resilience is Futile with Julie Lalonde and Tracey Lindeman\n– Climate Action in Your Community with Sue Brandum\n\n\n\nWhat Now Lanark County hosted an event in early December to review and learn about the 87 recommendations from the inquest held following the death of 3 Renfrew County women. Education is key to making our communities safe for all especially women and children. Intimate partner violence affects us all.
