Host a Fundraiser on LCIH’s Behalf!Indulge in creativity and encourage your family, business, school, or community group to organize their own fundraiser on behalf of Lanark County Interval House! Our operating expenses have tripled since we opened our newly renovated shelter and we do not have funding to support the increase. Our Outreach programs are overwhelmed by the demand from women and children in Lanark County in need of support. We need your help! Not sure what to do? Organize an event or initiative that reflects your particular group’s interests, pastimes, or passions—if you love to go hiking, for instance, consider how you can organize a hike for LCIH’s Step It Up Lanark campaign. If you love to bake, why not try to organize a unique baking lesson with friends and family? And if you just love plain, crazy fun, try a costume party or dare to dye your hair the colours of the rainbow—if your colleagues donate enough pledges! Important Guidelines to Remember · Net funds must be submitted no later than 60 days after the event. · We will not assume any legal or financial liability associated with third party events and we will not be held responsible for any damages or accidents. · We must approve the use of our name and logo on any materials. · We are more than happy to provide promotional materials for your event, such as posters, pamphlets, and/or our banner. · All tax receipt issues must be discussed with Lanark County Interval House prior to the event. All tax receipts will be issued in accordance with Canada Revenue Agency’s regulations. · We cannot issue tax receipts for donated services (example: advertising, construction, entertainment, etc.) Need more information? Please feel free to contact us. We appreciate your support and hope that your event is a success!

Present Needs & Opportunities!Every once in a while, Lanark County Interval House will ask for your help in donating special items or filling specific volunteer opportunities. (Please note, though, that other opportunities and needs are always ongoing, and we appreciate your help in any way you can give it—so don’t hesitate to get in touch!) Presently, we are seeking to meet the following needs: Soulful Delights Committee Members: We’re hoping to hold our second Soulful Delights dessert & entertainment evening in the spring of 2010—we need your help!! Love to plan events (and have a sweet tooth extraordinaire?!)? This is the event for you! Contact our Public Education & Volunteer Office at (613) 257-1115 to learn more today. Grants/Proposals Committee Members: If you have a talent for research and/or writing, and would like to share some of your skills, we could use your help on this new committee. LCIH relies on community support and grants to subsidize a number of its programs and services. Contact our Public Education & Volunteer Office at (613) 257-1115 to learn more today.
Donations of Canning Jars: This fall, LCIH will be partnering with Ballygiblin’s, Carleton Place’s local pub & restaurant, to make a selection of apple preserves. The goods will be sold at our Women’s Fair & store in support of LCIH. If you have some extra canning jars sitting around, please donate them to support our fundraiser. Jars can be dropped off at the As Good As New Store. |
