Our Three Outstanding Community Partners 2008-2009

(As honoured at our 2009 AGM)

Carleton Place Canadian Tire . . .

A huge thank-you to the owners & staff at Carleton Place Canadian Tire for their ongoing support and contributions.  In 2009, they welcomed our spring Charity BBQ and once again supported our jam fundraiser with numerous donations!

Chix in Biz . . .

For the second year in a row, the women from Chix in Biz (a group of amazing women entrepreneurs in Smiths Falls), donated their time and energy to support Lanark County Interval House.  Their second annual Chix in Biz Women’s Fair this past April raised more than $2000 for LCIH, totalling their money raised to more than $5000!  Amazing!!  We thank you so much!

The Almonte Quilters’ Guild . . .

This past June, the Almonte Quilters’ Guild made an absolutely generous and heartfelt donation: 17 homemade, beautiful quilts for us to decorate the shelter, and warm the women and children in their moments of crisis.  Thank you once again!

2009 Women’s Fair Sponsors

A huge thank you to the many individuals and businesses that made the 2009 21st Annual Women’s Fair such a success. We raised over $6500 for Lanark County Interval House from the event:

 . . . and more Thank-yous!

(please note that we do our best to recognize your business’ contributions!)

The Violet Femmes Committee would like to send a special thank you to Code’s Mill on the Park Inn & Spa in Perth for donating our grand prize: a fabulous Girls Night Out (and overnight stay) at the inn for 4 girlfriends, including manicures & pedicures, make-up, sparkling wine, bowling for extra fun, breakfast, shopping coupons in Perth and more!

Carleton Place Mississippi Squares . . .

Carleton Place’s Mississippi Squares Club continues to support Lanark County Interval House with annual donations and yes, square dancing shows (they even had our staff dancing at our family BBQ!)  Thank you for your continued support!  Hats off to you!

Royal Lepage—Gale Real Estate

Once again this year,  our local Royal Lepage office  promoted the Royal Lepage Shelter Foundation—this year, they held a fun garage sale and BBQ to support LCIH!  We thank you for your continued support and dedication to ending violence against women!

Heather Wiebe, owner of Weebee Growing Again in Almonte, must be thanked for sharing the lead in organizing this year’s Violet Femmes.  Heather & her staff donated an amazing amount of time & resources so that we could pull off another amazing event!

Sincere thank-yous must also be shared with Charlene Genereux and the staff at Divine Consign, who also helped take the lead with this year’s event!  Charlene & Divine Consign also donated an amazing amount of time & resources to ensure the success of our 2nd annual Violet Femmes!

Power Up Your Life

Lilly White & team’s amazing weekend of self-discovery, innovation, inspiration, and hope raised more than $900 for LCIH.  Thank you for your generous contribution!  Lilly and her team look forward to their next 3-day session of discovery September 24-26, 2010.  Check out their website at www.powerupyourlife.ca/Ottawa_Events.html to keep up-to-date on their next fabulous event!

4Imprint

A nice big thank-you to 4imprint Canada for honouring LCIH with a $500 Charity donation that went toward the purchase of our stylish, environmentally-friendly, recycle bags!
