On Saturday, June 11, at the Lanark County Pride Parade, our community came together in solidarity, celebration and peace. We wish this had been the case everywhere. We at LCIH were proud to be included in our local events and will continue to work with our communities to create safety, respect and dignity for everyone, everywhere.
We are saddened and outraged by this shocking act of hate against humanity. Saturday in small town rural Lanark County, we proudly celebrated the richness and diversity of “being” in our community. Sunday we awakened to the horror of mass murder targeted at the LGBTQ2 community. Hate is a powerful tool but uniting in solidarity is greater.
